Turkish President met Ukrainian President Zelensky

Istanbul: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky to discuss the Russia-Ukraine crisis. The Turkish President’s office said on its website on Friday that the two leaders discussed reviving the Black Sea Grain Initiative, Xinhua news agency reported. According to the office, “During the discussion, it was said to intensify efforts for sustainable peace in the region.” It is noteworthy that the United Nations and Turkey had mediated between Russia and Ukraine in July 2022 to establish a maritime corridor for grain and fertilizer exports from Ukrainian Black Sea ports.
