Watchman arrested for molesting a minor girl

Sarai Amanat Khan police on Tuesday arrested a school watchman-cum-security guard for molesting a 9-year-old school girl. The accused has been identified as Kewal Singh, who worked as a watchman in a private school in Kasel village.

SHO Inspector Rajinder Kaur recorded the statement of the victim’s mother. In her statement to the police, she told that on Monday, her daughter was playing near the school when the accused took her to the upper floor of the school and molested her.
A case has been registered against the accused under Section 354 and 8 POCSO Act. Tarn Taran SSP Ashwani Kapoor said that if there is any mistake on anyone’s part, strict action will be taken against him also. This school is run by a reputed charitable organization.
