No success in gun house theft case

The police have failed to make any breakthrough in the case of theft of arms and ammunition from a gun house near Bhandari bridge 10 days ago.

There is increasing concern that as the Lok Sabha elections approach, these weapons will reach the hands of unscrupulous elements. Assistant Commissioner of Police (North) Varinder Singh Khosa said, “The investigation is still ongoing and nothing can be said at this time.” This incident was captured in the footage of the CCTV camera installed in the Royal Gun House. The miscreant had covered his head and face, so the police were having difficulty in identifying the suspect.
According to the investigation so far, the main objective of the thief was to steal weapons from the shop. After entering the neighboring submersible pump shop through the roof, he broke the wall and entered the shop. He did not steal anything from the shop, but targeted the gun house.
Shop owner Suresh Arora revealed that the suspect took away eight .12 bore caliber guns, three pump action .12 bore double barrel guns, 18 bullets and Rs 6 lakh in cash from the table drawer.
Owner Suresh Arora said, “I have full confidence in the police department to identify the thief and recover the stolen weapons.” The irony is that even in July 2023, his gun house was targeted by anarchist elements. The police had not yet been able to expose that theft.
Khosa said the investigation is taking time, but police are hopeful that the case will be solved soon.
