WhatsApp latest news: Preparation to introduce new feature, attracted users

New Delhi: WhatsApp is working on a feature to block third party chats. The company can roll out this feature soon. Earlier this month, WhatsApp had said it would offer third-party messaging integration in the app to comply with the European Union’s Digital Markets Act. The company has been testing this feature for the last two years. This feature will allow users to send and receive messages, videos, images and files not only from WhatsApp to WhatsApp but also on other social media platforms.
This feature of WhatsApp may be useful for some users, but there will be many users who will not like it. For such users, the company is preparing to bring a feature that disables cross platform messaging. With the arrival of this feature, users will have the option to turn cross platform messaging on and off. Users who keep the feature off will neither be able to send messages on other platforms nor will they be able to receive any messages from other platforms. For these users, chats will be available in read-only mode until manually deleted.
WABetaInfo gave information about this feature being tested in WhatsApp. According to WABetaInfo, a new toggle is being provided in the app to turn off third party chats. This toggle can currently be seen in WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.24.6.2. The company can offer another useful feature in this, which will give users the option to decide which other app can send messages on their WhatsApp. With these features, users will get a highly customized experience of WhatsApp. These new features of WhatsApp are still in the testing phase. Its stable version can be rolled out in the coming few weeks.
