Youth dies after being touched by high voltage wire in Jamui
Munger: A youth died after coming in contact with a high voltage wire in the district. The deceased has been identified as Pawan Yadav, 38, son of Ram Bhajju Yadav, resident of Deera village under Halsi police station area of Jamui-Lakhisarai border line.
Giving information regarding the incident, the deceased’s brother-in-law Puneet Yadav said that around 10:30 pm on Wednesday night, his brother-in-law Pawan Yadav had gone to the backyard behind the house to defecate. Then 11 thousand high voltage wires already broke there and fell. Due to darkness he could not see and he came in contact with the wire. Due to which he got badly burnt.

When the people around him noticed him, he was hurriedly brought to Sadar Hospital Jamui for treatment, where he died during treatment. The relatives of the deceased said that such an incident had happened due to the negligence of the electricity department. Also told that there are many places in Deera area where dilapidated electricity wires are still hanging, due to which an incident can happen at any time.
Police registered FIR
Here, after getting the information, the police of Town Police Station reached Sadar Hospital, took possession of the body and started investigating the entire matter. Town Police Station President Arun Kumar said that the information about the death of a youth due to electric shock has been given by his family members. Based on the statement of the relatives of the deceased, an FIR will be registered and sent to Halsi police station. Because the place of incident is Lakhisarai district
