Girlfriend arrested in BJP leader’s death case

Lormi. The case of death of BJP leader in Lormi police station area of Mungeli district has now been exposed. According to the police, no one else but his girlfriend is responsible for the death of the BJP leader, due to which the police has now sent her behind bars. Actually this incident happened 7 months ago. The dead body of Lormi BJP leader and former alderman Shailendra Jaiswal alias Shilu was found tied to an electric pole in a field adjacent to the main road under Lormi police station area. A six-page separate suicide note was also found in the kiosk center run by the deceased. After forensic investigation of this case, a crime under section 306 was registered two days ago.

According to Lormi’s SDOP Madhuri Dhirahi, according to the police regarding this incident, the suicide note has revealed extortion of money including pressure for conversion, for which 32-year-old girlfriend Sonia Lakra, resident of Lormi police station area, was accused. However, after registering a crime on the basis of the said suicide note, Lormi police was actively searching for the said accused girlfriend. The girlfriend was hiding in a house yesterday while trying to escape, the police arrested her near the bus stand of Lormi and today lodged her in judicial custody. According to the information, the accused woman was already married. Despite this, due to her love affair with the deceased, the said woman was continuously pressurizing her for conversion including giving money. Frustrated with this, BJP leader Shailendra Jaiswal committed suicide.
