Loot of Rs 8 crore, vicious person identified himself as Income Tax officer
Gujarat. The morale of criminals is high in Surat, the financial capital of Gujarat and the city of Harsh Sanghvi, Minister of State for Home, Government of Gujarat. Every day some miscreants keep committing some criminal incident. On Tuesday evening, a criminal targeted a diamond merchant and looted Rs 8 crore in Katargam area of Surat. After committing the crime, the robber who posed as an Income Tax officer easily escaped. CCTV footage of this incident has also surfaced. It can be seen that the robber stops the Echo car and goes away kidnapping other people in it. Surat Police has formed different teams to uncover this incident of robbery of Rs 8 crore, which are investigating the case.
CCTV footage shows an Echo car going on the road. Just then a man appears in front of him with a briefcase in his hand and wearing a cap on his head. He shows his hand to the eco car driver and asks him to stop. When the car stops, the criminal opens the door of the car with a briefcase in his hand. Some people are seen sitting in that car. The miscreant identifies himself to the car riders as an Income Tax Department official. He also shows his fake ID card of being an Income Tax Department officer to the people traveling in the car. Asks them to take the car forward. If police sources are to be believed, 4 people were sitting in the car. A person calling himself an Income Tax Department official drops two people in the car after traveling a short distance. After that, he takes the other two people to some distance and drops them there and then runs away with the car alone.
