19 year old son is being detained and interrogated on murder charges

A woman living in Ward-9 of Rehti in Sehore district was found dead in her house two days ago. The woman was murdered by her 19 year old son. The police had detained the son of the deceased on the basis of suspicion. During interrogation, the accused son told that he was upset with his mother’s behavior, due to which he committed murder.

Rehti police station in-charge Rajesh Kahare said that Bhagwan Singh Sahu, a resident of Digwad of Rehti police station area, had built a house in Mandloi Colony of Rehti. Bhagwan Singh’s wife Sunita Sahu (45) often used to come to Rehti during the day and return to the village in the evening. She had come to Rehti on Tuesday also. But, she did not return home in the evening.

When the husband called, he did not receive it. After this the husband reached the house in Rehti, where his wife was lying dead inside the house. There were serious injury marks on the back of his head. While investigating the case, the police had detained the deceased’s son Mahendra Sahu (19) from Bherunda bus stand. During interrogation, the son admitted to killing his mother after being upset with her behaviour. Police seized the weapon used in the incident.
