Police arrested for misbehaving with a woman

Nirmal: A police head constable was arrested for misbehaving with a woman at the district headquarters hospitals here on Thursday. Nirmal Town Inspector Purshottam Chari police said the accused, head constable Jagatram, working at a guard post at the hospital, was caught and sent to judicial custody for allegedly misbehaving with a woman at the hospital. Based on the complaint received from the victim, a case was registered and investigation was conducted.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Dr G Janaki Sharmila said in a statement that no one will be spared for bringing the police department into disrepute. He said that departmental action has been initiated against the constable. He warned that strict action would be taken against those committing crimes. He advised the police to discharge their duties to improve the image of the department.
