Tripura: STGT candidates demand recruitment

Agartala: Significant protests broke out as candidates of the 2022 Selection Test for Graduate Teachers (STGT) demonstrated in front of Shiksha Bhavan.

They were protesting against the undue delay by the government in declaring the results.
STGT exam administered by Tripura Teacher Recruitment Board (TRBT) took place in September 2022.
The protesters expressed their disappointment towards the education department, noting that more than one and a half years have passed since the examination and the results have not been declared.

One protester commented, “We can see that there is a shortage of teachers for classes 9 and 10 all over Tripura. The irony is that despite having the required qualifications, we are still waiting for recruitment. If we are recruited, the shortage of teachers will also reduce. However, we are still waiting for our results, and no recruitment has been conducted yet.
