Scooter collides with divider, two killed
New Delhi: Two teenagers were killed and another seriously injured when a scooter collided with a road divider near Kabootar Market in North Delhi.
According to the police, this accident happened on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. Police said they received a PCR call regarding the accident at 1.55 am on Saturday night.
According to a senior police officer, “A police team was sent to the spot and upon reaching there, a scooter was found near Kabootar Market on Lower Subhash Marg. The team learned that three teenagers were injured in the accident and were taken to the hospital. ,
The officer said he received information from the hospital that two teenagers were declared dead on arrival, while another had serious injuries.
Police said the condition of the injured teenager remains critical and the body has been handed over to his family members after post-mortem.
The police officer said, “Inquiries at the local level revealed that the scooter that collided with the divider was being driven at high speed and carelessly. When we checked the registration number of the scooter, it was found that the scooter was stolen from Laxmi Nagar area in August last year. ,
He said that an FIR has been registered in connection with this incident and investigation has been started.
