Punjab: Congress observer asks party workers to attend the meeting
Tarn Taran: State Congress observer Ved Prakash Vedi has called upon party workers to participate in the political conference to be held at Samrala in Ludhiana district on February 11, in which AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and other leaders are coming to address.
Ved Prakash was addressing the district level meeting of party workers organized at the local Congress Bhawan on Tuesday. The meeting was organized under the leadership of Congress Party District President Harminder Singh Gill.
In his address to the party workers, Vedi said that since the Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in the month of April, the party is going to sound the election bugle in the state in the state level conference on February 11.
Taking aim at BJP, Ved Prakash said that the party has faced a huge humiliation in the Chandigarh MC elections. He claimed that the countrymen are in no mood to accept the alleged misgovernance of the BJP and have made up their mind in favor of the Indian alliance.
Addressing on the occasion, Harminder Singh Gill assured the party observer that more and more party workers will participate in the Samrala conference. The absence of former party MLAs Ramanjit Singh Sikki (Khadur Sahib) and Sukhpal Singh Bhullar (Khemkaran) was conspicuous in the meeting.
