Mamta Banerjee spoke on the arrest of Hemant Soren

Kolkata. Condemning the arrest of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Hemant Soren, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday said the people of Jharkhand will give a “befitting reply” to it.

Banerjee said Soren is a close friend of hers and expressed her commitment to stand firmly by his side. “I strongly condemn the arrest of Hemant Soren, a strong tribal leader,” she said in a post on X. Bha
