Notorious criminal arrested under PIT NDPS

The police had arrested a notorious criminal under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act in Miran Sahib area here. Gagandeep Singh alias Gaggi of Symbol Camp, Jammu was wanted in several criminal cases, a police officer said, adding that an arrest warrant under the PIT NDPS Act was also issued by the Divisional Commissioner against the accused. He said that today information was received about the culprit and accordingly, a team of Meeran Sahib Police Station led by the concerned SHO raided the suspected location and arrested the culprit and shifted him to District Jail Kathua.
