26 employees of illegal call center arrested, 40 in custody

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday claimed to have busted two illegal call centers in Dwarka and Naraina areas here that were committing fraud in the name of providing technical assistance and other services to foreign nationals.

According to an official, the ‘Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations’ (IFSO) unit of Delhi Police has arrested 26 employees from two illegal call centers and detained 40 people.

The officer said a case has been registered in this regard under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and those arrested and detained are being interrogated.
