The poet was singing poetry at the Pantnagar Poetry Festival organized in Pantnagar. During this time he suffered a heart attack and fell down. It so happened that he was reciting poetry and suddenly he suffered a heart attack.
The incident took place on Sunday (January 28) at GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. This program was dedicated to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army. The occasion turned tragic when the poet fainted due to a heart attack.
