Kharge reacted amid political uncertainty in Bihar

Kalaburagi: Amid political uncertainty in Bihar and speculation that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may again join hands with BJP and leave the India block, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday said he will speak only after receiving proper information and “People interested in saving democracy will not change their minds and will stay with us”.
Kharge said that he will have complete information upon reaching Delhi.

“I wrote a letter and tried to talk to him… It is not clear what is in his mind. I am going to Dehradun tomorrow, then to Delhi. I will get complete information. Otherwise, it creates confusion. Let’s see what will happen. We don’t know… whether they are contacting the governor,” Kharge told reporters here. Kharge said that if the India faction has “authentic information” then they can inform and there is also “fake news”.

“Let’s see what happens, our effort is to unite everyone. I have spoken to Mamata Banerjee, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Sitaram Yechury. If we are united, we will fight well and the India alliance will be successful.” “Those who are interested in saving democracy will not change their minds and will stay with us.” There is political uncertainty in Bihar just months before the Lok Sabha elections and the main parties of the ruling Grand Alliance government in the state, JD-U and RJD, are in busy talks amid alleged differences. BJP has also taken advice from its leaders in the state.

The Congress President has appointed former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel as senior observer to coordinate the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and other party activities in Bihar. A press release issued by party general secretary KC Venugopal said, “The Congress President has appointed Shri Bhupesh Baghel as Senior Observer to coordinate the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and other party activities in Bihar with immediate effect.” Several NDA leaders, including former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, have indicated that JD(U) is likely to break ties with RJD.

If Nitish Kumar changes sides, it will be the fourth time that he will change sides.
