Mineral Department takes action on illegal mining, 2 Poklanes and 6 tractors seized

Sarangarh Bilaigarh. On the instructions of Collector KL Chauhan, Mineral Officer HD Bhardwaj conducted a raid in village Timarlaga, in which 02 Poklane machines and 06 tractors involved in illegal excavation and transportation were seized on the spot. These vehicles were handed over to Panch Sundermani Patel of village Timralga till further proceedings.

This action was taken under Chhattisgarh Minor Mineral Rules 2015 and Section 21 of the Mines and Mineral Development Act 1957.

The mining officer said that on the instructions of Collector Shri Chauhan, action against illegal excavation, transportation and storage will be taken continuously in future also. The investigation team included mining officer HD Bhardwaj, associates Deepak Patel, Anurag Nand etc.
