Paddy robbery exposed, 4 robbers arrested

Sarhasa. Madhepura police on Saturday exposed the robbery of paddy along with truck. Police recovered the looted truck along with 590 sacks (about 26 tonnes) of paddy loaded on it. Along with this, four miscreants have also been arrested. ASP Pravendra Bharti said that on January 4, information was received that a truck and 590 bags of paddy kept on it were missing from Murliganj market on the night of December 31. The owner and driver of this vehicle are also not known.

To investigate this incident, a joint team was formed under the leadership of Sadar SDPO along with DIU branch Madhepura and Murliganj police station. Vehicle owner cum driver Umesh Sah, resident of Khairabhudhar under Bikramganj police station area of Rohtas district, was detained by the raiding team for questioning from Kennagar police station area of Purnia. When inquired about the truck and the paddy, he started denying it and instead started blaming the paddy trader for making the truck disappear. The police was being repeatedly misled by the vehicle owner cum driver.

After in-depth investigation by Madhepura Police on the basis of mobile analysis of the vehicle owner and scientific research, it was found that the truck owner cum driver with the help of his associate Rakesh Chaurasia, resident of Chharrapatti Ward 07 of Udakishanganj police station area, Virendra Chaurasia, resident of Shekhpura Ward-16, had committed 590 The bag of paddy has been sold to Santosh Kumar, resident of Chakla Ward 3 of Alamnagar police station area. ASP said that the criminals were arrested after successfully uncovering the incident through technical analysis and scientific research. Upon interrogation, all the miscreants admitted their involvement in this incident. On their notice, the truck and 590 bags of paddy loaded on it were recovered from Alamnagar.
