Bengaluru: Nine-year-old girl found dead in apartment complex’s pool
Tragedy struck an apartment complex in Bengaluru’s tech corridor when a nine-year-old girl, identified as Manasa, was found dead in the swimming pool on Friday. According to PTI, the incident shocked the community and raised questions over the circumstances surrounding his death.
Mansa reportedly lived with her family in the same apartment complex where the unfortunate incident took place. Residents allege that the girl may have accidentally fallen into the pool after coming in contact with an electric wire hanging from a nearby light pole. However, police have not confirmed the cause of death, and highlighted the need for a post-mortem.
In his complaint, the grieving father suspected that his daughter drowned after accidentally falling into the swimming pool around 7:30 pm on Thursday evening. The girl was taken to a nearby hospital.
Police are actively investigating the incident considering various angles including the possibility of electric shock. So far, no injury marks have been seen on the girl’s body and officials are waiting for the post-mortem report to clearly determine the cause of death.
In response to the tragedy, residents of the apartment complex organized a protest demanding justice for Mansa. While addressing the journalists, the father urged the police to investigate the matter thoroughly and fix responsibility.
