Special Posco court gives harsh punishment to accused in case of rape of minor

Jajpur: Jajpur Special POSCO Fast Track Court has sentenced a tuition teacher accused of rape to 20 years imprisonment. The accused Biswanath Barik was arrested under Korai police limits in 2021 for raping a 10-year-old girl.

The judge sentenced the man to 20 years imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 and asked the victim to pay compensation of Rs 4 lakh.
