20 year old student’s death under suspicious circumstances, police engaged in investigation

Korba. 20 year old student Sumit Banjare died under suspicious circumstances in Korba. Sumit Banjare was studying mechanical trade at Industrial Training Institute Jaijaipur in Janjgir Champa district. The friends of the deceased student informed the family about the death. Sumit was first brought to the local hospital for first aid. He was then referred to a private hospital in Korba where he died.

The student’s father Shivkumar Banjare told that he has three sons and a daughter. Deceased Sumit Banjare was number two. He was studying ITI in Jaijaipur of Janjgir Champa district for two years. Came home on leave on 17th December. After celebrating Gurughasidas Jayanti on 18th December, he went back on 20th December.

The father told that he works as a daily wage laborer and had gone to work. Meanwhile, a call came on his daughter’s number that Sumit had met with an accident. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Champa for treatment. When they reached the hospital, Sumit’s condition was worsening. He was then brought to a private hospital in Korba, where he died during treatment.

The hostel teacher told that he had gone for an outing with friends, where he was said to have got injured after falling from the bike. The father says that no one is giving information from which bike Sumit fell. The father of the deceased has registered a case in the Civil Line police station of Korba, suspecting murder. The father says that there are no injury marks on the son’s body. No clear reason has been found as to how the son died. After taking Panchnama action, the body has been sent for postmortem. After this the case will be sent to Janjgir Champa for investigation.
