3 quintals of ganja found in ambulance in Raipur

Raipur. 3 quintals of ganja has been seized from an ambulance in the capital Raipur. According to the information, the police received information from the informer that an ambulance was standing near Doomar Talab Chanakya School turning, in which there were four persons including the driver. It contained the illegal drug Ganja, based on the information a cordon and raid was conducted, in which three persons ran away after seeing the police and the driver was caught on the spot.

On interrogating the driver of the vehicle, he revealed his name to be Suraj Khunte, father Krishnalal Khunte, age 22 years, from Sakin village, Dongiabhatha police station, Bhatgaon district, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, and the name of his absconding companion was Golu Chandra and the name of the other two was not known. On checking the vehicle, it was found to contain 72 packets of ganja sealed with brown colored wrappers.

When asked about the said drug ganja, he told that he brought it from Orissa and took it from Balodabazar to other states along with his absconding associate Golu Chandra, resident of village Saloni Kala police station, Bhatgaon district Sarangarh. On the spot, 72 packets of narcotic ganja weighing 364.300 kg were seized in an ambulance number CG-04/HD- 8385 from the possession of the accused driver. The accused was arrested and crime number 00/2023 section 20 (b) N was seized. . D.P.S. An Act was enacted and taken into consideration, investigation is carried out in relation to the accused who absconded from the spot.
