The new Parliament building, which is almost ready but for some finishing touches in the interiors and artwork and some equipment testing, is “state-of-the-art and full technology-driven” and has adequate space for offices and multiple conference rooms. Besides being rooted in the Indian ethos through a variety of artwork and decorative displays, the new building has regional representation writ large. Three India galleries have also been accommodated in the building. One gallery will exhibit textile installations from all over India, along with the craft of pottery made authentically from the “mitti (clay) of all Indian states”.
