We are progressing forward while preserving our culture and respecting our traditions. Education is the only medium through which the development of an individual is possible. The Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said this during the Provincial Arya Convention and Gyan Jyoti Parv organized at the Shahid Smarak Bhawan in Raipur. He said that the revolutionary movement started by Swami Dayanand Saraswati is now reaping results. The Chief Minister also stated that Swami Dayanand Saraswati had raised his voice in favour of educating women, as a result of which the number of female students in Chhattisgarh’s colleges exceeds the number of male students.
Paying obeisance to Swami Dayanand Saraswati on the occasion of his 200th Anniversary and the 150th Foundation Day of Arya Samaj, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel congratulated everyone on the celebration of Gyan Jyoti Parv. Remembering the Founder of Arya Samaj in Chhattisgarh, Tularam Arya Parganiha Ji, on his Appearance Day, he said that the revered Tularam Arya Ji had made commendable endeavours towards social reform at the local level in the state. We are thankful to him for his generosity and charity.
In his address, the Chief Minister said that the development of society is a complex process and that it takes centuries to create an advanced society. A society can progress only through the emergence of new ideas and the modification of old concepts, resulting in the development of its scientific outlook. He highlighted the fact that Indian society has always welcomed new ideas. The Sanatan tradition has survived since time immemorial and will continue till eternity.
Swami Aryavesh from Delhi, who attended the Provincial Arya Convention and Gyan Jyoti Festival, praised the schemes of the Chhattisgarh Government in his address and said that the Gauthan scheme has helped in the conservation of cattle and also secured employment for villagers. While praising the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Swami Aryavesh said that the Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit is a commendable project launched by the state government.
The Minister of Food and Culture Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation Mr. Girish Dewangan, Member of Chhattisgarh State Backward Classes Commission Mr. R.N. Verma, Swami Shri Aryavesh from Arya Samaj, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Provincial Arya Samaj Acharaya Shri Anshudev, Minister Mr. Bhuvnesh Sahu, and other officials and members were present on the occasion.
