Action of security forces against militants intensified on Manipur violence
Manipur | The ongoing violence is not taking the name of stopping. This uproar regarding caste violence has been going on for more than 2 months. According to statistics, 120 people have lost their lives in this ruckus and more than 3000 people are injured. Homes and work places of ministers, vehicles are being burnt. Keeping in view the situation, the security forces have intensified action against the miscreants. Security forces destroyed 12 bunkers built by militants in different districts of violence-hit Manipur in the last 24 hours.
Explain that the statement issued by the Manipur Police said that the state police and central forces conducted search operations in Tamenglong, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Kangpokpi, Churachandpur and Kakching districts. Not only this, during the search operation, the police found three 51 mm mortar shells, three 84 mm mortars and IEDs in a paddy field in Sahumfai village. The bomb disposal team also destroyed the IED.
