Montaya’s son Gilbert Balburn said on Sunday – she was breathing in the coffin. She was also using one hand. Overall, my mother was not dead, but alive. Still we were given the death certificate. Gilbert also told that he is from a very poor family. Had to ask people for money for the coffin. Ecuador’s Ministry of Health issued a statement on this issue. It said that Montoya was admitted to the hospital after suffering a stroke. When there was no response, the doctor on duty confirmed his death. But later it was found that the woman was breathing. At present, a committee has been formed to investigate the incident. It was told that Montoya is still on oxygen. He is undergoing treatment under the supervision of the local administration. His condition is stable. Almost all his organs are responding. It may take time to recover completely. Because age is also a factor.
