Rape victim’s mother attacked, the accused broke her leg
Bilaspur. A young woman from Kota area reached the collectorate on Monday with her injured mother. She carried her mother in her arms from the main gate to the collector’s office. She told that the relatives of her rapist assaulted her mother which broke her leg. There is also a stitch on the leg. They also broke his expensive mobile. When Kota went to TI to write the report, he refused to write the report.
On Monday, around 2:20 pm, a young woman reached the collectorate carrying her mother in her arms. The mother had an application in her hand in the name of the collector. He said that a young man from Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara district had falsely implicated his daughter in a love affair and forced her to have physical relations with him. The case under section 376 is pending in the court. On May 30, the youth’s relatives Tikaram Sahu and Laxman Sahu assaulted him over the matter pending in the court. This broke his leg. Daughter’s mobile was also broken. Kota police station in-charge Uttam Sahu did not register the report when he went to write the report. It is alleged that the case is being suppressed by covering it up. The woman said that investigation and action should be taken in the case of Kota police station in-charge and relatives of the youth entering the house and assaulting her.
Kota TI Uttam Sahu told that three-four years ago the girl had filed a case against an army man under section 376. He got anticipatory bail from the court. The bail takers are residents of Kota and are distant relatives of the armyman. When the girl came to know about this during the hearing, she took her mother to her house last month and there was a dispute. Then the girl came to the police station with a complaint of molestation and broken mobile. On investigation in the matter, it was found that nothing like this had happened. The non-applicant said that this happened because of being granted bail. The non-applicant also lodged a complaint against the girl, fearing that she would be framed. A CCTV camera is also installed at the house against whom the girl is making allegations. They have no information regarding the complaint of assault on May 30.
