Revenue work stalled, Patwari on strike

Raipur. Patwaris of the capital Raipur have opened a front against the state government. The indefinite strike of Patwaris of Chhattisgarh is continuing since May 15. It is being told that the Patwaris have gone on strike regarding their 8-point demands.

The Patwaris of Raipur have started the strike from Monday for their 8-point demands. Let us tell you that Patwaris have made a total of 8 demands from the state government, including salary discrepancy, promotion on the basis of seniority, resource allowance and stationery allowance. Apart from this, Patwaris have demanded that the eligibility for Patwari appointment should be graduation. The sit-in demonstrations are going on in all the district headquarters since May 15. Today all Patwaris are protesting at Tuta Dharna site of Naya Raipur. The revenue work has come to a standstill due to the strike.

Not only this. Due to the strike, work ranging from land work to income caste residence certificate is being disrupted. Demand to remove all Patwari salary discrepancy, demand for promotion to make revenue inspector, demand for resource and net allowance, and qualification for Patwari appointment should be graduated. The Patwari Sangh is staging a protest regarding these demands.
