Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) on Sunday conducted the third phase of Assistant Professor Examination-2025 for recruitment to the vacant posts of Assistant Professor in government colleges. In this phase, examination was conducted for a total of 399 posts in four subjects. About 12 thousand candidates had applied for the examination, out of which about 7 thousand candidates appeared in the examination. In this way, the total attendance at the examination centers was recorded at around 58 percent.
The third stage examination covered the subjects of History, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. These include 56 posts of History, 107 posts of Mathematics, 120 posts of Physics and 116 posts of Chemistry. Including all these subjects, the recruitment process is being taken forward for a total of 399 Assistant Professor posts.
A total of 30 examination centers were created for the examination. Out of about 12 thousand candidates who applied, about 7 thousand came to take the exam. Accordingly, a large number of candidates remained absent from the examination. Special arrangements for security and surveillance were made by the Commission at the examination centres.
To maintain transparency in the examination and prevent any kind of cheating or use of unfair means, MPPSC implemented a three-tier checking system. Every candidate had to go through the prescribed screening process before entering the examination centre. Admit cards and photo identity cards of the candidates were matched.
Biometric verification of the candidates was also done to ensure identity. Along with this, the admit card was scanned, so that the presence of the genuine candidate in the examination could be ensured. Special emphasis was laid on preventing identity related irregularities in the examination system.
As part of security arrangements, candidates were also screened with metal detectors at the examination centres. Its purpose was to prevent prohibited electronic devices or other suspicious material from reaching the examination hall. Candidates were allowed entry inside the examination center only after verification.
Due to testing conducted at three levels, candidates were required to reach the examination centers before the scheduled time. After completion of admit card verification, photo identity card matching, metal detector screening, biometric verification and scanning of documents, the candidates were sent to their designated examination hall.
This examination is important for the candidates preparing to become Assistant Professor in government colleges. In the third phase, maximum posts are in Physics subject. 120 vacancies have been kept for Physics. After this there are 116 posts in Chemistry and 107 posts in Mathematics. There is to be recruitment on 56 posts in History subject.
The total number of posts for all four subjects is 399. In such a situation, about seven thousand candidates who appeared in the examination are competing for these posts. However, due to the difference in number of posts and candidates in different subjects, the actual competition will also be different according to the subject.
Under the recruitment process of Assistant Professor Examination-2025, vacant posts of teachers in government colleges are to be filled. After the completion of the third phase examination, now the candidates will keep an eye on the further process. Information related to the results of the examination and the next stage of the recruitment process will be released by the Commission as per the prescribed procedure.
This time, the security arrangements during the examination were also important because the strictness regarding transparency in competitive examinations is being continuously increased. Arrangements for verification at multiple levels, from candidate identification to entry into the examination hall, were made for this very purpose. Through biometric verification, efforts were made to ensure that only the candidates who applied appeared for the examination.
Similarly, matching of photo identity card and admit card was another important process of candidate identification. Admit card scanning helped in maintaining the record of candidates’ attendance at the examination centre. The purpose of screening with metal detectors was to prevent entry of any prohibited equipment.
It is also important to register 58 percent attendance in this examination conducted at a total of 30 examination centres. The arrival of about seven thousand candidates against about 12 thousand applications means that not all the candidates who applied took part in the examination. However, according to the data available from the Commission, the examination process was conducted amidst prescribed security arrangements.
Subjects like History, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are directly related to higher education in government colleges. Appointments to 399 posts in these subjects will be important in increasing the availability of teachers in the respective colleges after the completion of the recruitment process.
At present, after the completion of the third phase examination, the candidates are waiting for the further official process. Necessary procedures related to the examination will be completed before the result is declared. Candidates will have to keep an eye on the official information issued by the Commission.
The participation of about seven thousand candidates in the third phase of MPPSC Assistant Professor Examination-2025 and three-level security check were the main highlights of this examination. Now the candidates will keep an eye on the further selection process for 399 posts.
