US President Trump Warns Iran: ‘We Hit You Hard Last Night, We’re Going to Hit You Hard Tonight’

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday issued a fresh warning to Iran, saying the US had carried out strikes and more could follow.
On Iran, US President Donald Trump said, “They are behaving very badly, as they have for 47 years. We hit them hard last night…I’ll give them a little warning. We’re going to hit them hard tonight. But we’ll see how it all works out…”, according to a caption shared by news agency ANI in an X post.
The remarks come amid a sharp escalation in Iran-US tensions over the past few months. Following a series of attacks on US interests and allied facilities in the Middle East, Washington has responded with airstrikes targeting Iran-backed groups and facilities linked to Tehran.
The Pentagon has said the strikes were aimed at degrading capabilities used to attack US troops and shipping lanes, while also sending a message of deterrence.
Iran has condemned the US actions and warned of retaliation, raising fears of a wider regional conflict.
Trump’s reference to “47 years” points to 1979, when the Islamic Revolution toppled the US-backed Shah and led to the Iran hostage crisis. Since then, ties between Washington and Tehran have remained hostile, marked by sanctions, proxy conflicts, and disputes over Iran’s nuclear program.
The latest exchange marks one of the most direct confrontations between the two countries in recent years, with both sides signaling they are prepared to escalate further if provoked.
