Cuttack: Three youths swept away while taking selfie at Naraj Dam

Cuttack: In a heart-wrenching incident, at least three youths were swept away while they were taking selfie at Naraj Dam on the outskirt of Cuttack City on Sunday.

According to reports, some youths from Naraj area had reportedly gone to the water reservoir and were enjoying the sightseeing in the presence of several others. However, they fell into the dam while taking selfies and were being swept away.

Some onlookers soon created an alarm following which a group of locals entered the dam and managed to recue two of the youths, while another went missing.

Immediately, a team of firefights from Baranga Fire station arrived at the spot and launched a search operation to trace and rescue the missing youths.

Meanwhile, the rescued youths were rushed to the local hospital to ascertain their conditions and treatment, if needed.
