Tamil Nadu to hold special TET exam on July 4 and 5, with lakhs of teachers appearing for it

Tamil Nadu: A special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for teachers working in government schools will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 4th and 5th. The exam will be conducted at various examination centers across the state. Teachers Recruitment Board Chairman S. Jayanthi issued an official press release on Thursday to inform about this.

According to the information released, this special TET exam will be conducted in two phases, with a large number of candidates participating. A total of 229,129 candidates will appear for TET Paper-1 for intermediate-level teachers. 167,743 candidates will appear for TET Paper-2 for graduate-level teachers. Consequently, millions of teachers across the state are taking this exam to prove their eligibility.

The exam aims to evaluate the qualifications of teachers working in government schools and further improve the quality of the education system. According to the board, the exam will be conducted with complete transparency and under strict rules to ensure no irregularities.

The Teacher Selection Board has advised all candidates to download their admit cards before the exam and carefully read all exam instructions. Candidates have been urged to prepare well in advance to avoid any last-minute hassles or stress.

Candidates have been instructed to reach the examination center on time on the day of the exam. According to the instructions, all candidates must arrive at the examination center between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination center after this time limit.

The Board has also clarified that only essential items will be allowed into the examination hall. Candidates are permitted to carry only one original ID proof and two black ballpoint pens. Any additional materials or electronic devices are strictly prohibited.

Officials say that such strict measures are necessary to maintain the integrity of the examination. Special security and surveillance arrangements have been made at the examination centers to ensure the smooth completion of the examination process.

Teachers are also experiencing an atmosphere of preparation for this exam. A large number of candidates have been preparing for this exam for a long time and are now in the final stages. Arrangements for the exam have been completed at various centers across the state.

According to the Education Department, the TET exam is an important means of ensuring the eligibility of teachers in government schools. It determines whether those engaged in teaching meet the required standards.

In view of the large number of candidates participating in the exam this time, the administration has made special arrangements in all districts. Necessary facilities, security arrangements, and monitoring teams have been deployed at the examination centers.
