Pinahat: Sensation due to murder of 90-year-old man, suspected to be attacked with a sharp weapon
Uttar Pradesh: A shocking incident occurred early Sunday morning in the Naya Pura locality of Pinahat town in Agra district. The murder of a 90-year-old man sent shockwaves through the area. The deceased has been identified as Rambabu Churaria, son of the late Raghuvar Dayal. The incident has created panic among locals, and the police have launched a thorough investigation.
According to reports, Rambabu Churaria was sleeping on a cot outside his home on Saturday night. He rested outside as usual, but when his family woke up at around 5 a.m. Sunday morning, they were shocked. The man’s body was found wrapped in a tarpaulin outside the house, causing widespread panic.
Upon receiving word of the incident, a large number of people from the surrounding area gathered at the scene, creating chaos in the neighborhood. The family immediately informed the police, after which the Pinahat police station and forensic team arrived at the scene and began an investigation.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the elderly man was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon on his head, resulting in his death on the spot. Blood stains were found on the cot, indicating that the incident occurred at the same location where he was sleeping. Police have cordoned off the scene and begun collecting evidence.

Family members say that the elderly man had no enmity with anyone and was a calm person. Therefore, the motive behind the murder remains a mystery. Police are investigating all possible angles, including mutual rivalry, old enmity, and other factors.
The police station has begun questioning nearby residents. They are trying to determine if any suspicious activity was observed in the area at night. Footage from possible CCTV cameras installed in the village is also being examined.
