It was reported that Dinakaran was being chased by Kutti Johnny (alias Gautam) from Vandaranthangal village. While being pursued, Dinakaran managed to flee the spot but did not return home.
After an extensive search failed to locate Dinakaran, his family lodged a complaint at the Katpadi police station. Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case and initiated an investigation.
The police formed a special team to search for the youth and conducted a search operation in the surrounding areas. Sniffer dogs were also deployed to help uncover clues as the search continued across the village and its vicinity.
Meanwhile, the police received information that a young man’s body had been found in a well. Upon reaching the site, the police retrieved the body and began the identification process.
