Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s first visit to Delhi, will meet PM

Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Wednesday (May 27). This will be his first official meeting with the Prime Minister since becoming Chief Minister, and is considered significant in terms of cooperation between the state and the central government.
According to sources, Chief Minister Vijay will depart for Delhi on a two-day official visit on Wednesday morning at 10 am on a private plane. He will arrive in Delhi around 1 pm. He will then stay at the Tamil Nadu government guest house, where a ceremonial welcome has been arranged upon his arrival.
According to reports, Chief Minister Vijay will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 4:30 pm. Several key issues related to Tamil Nadu’s development are expected to be discussed during the meeting. In particular, financial assistance for ongoing and proposed development projects in the state and necessary approvals from the central government will be a key agenda item.
Sources indicate that Chief Minister Vijay may request additional financial assistance from the central government for the state’s infrastructure, road projects, industrial development, and social welfare schemes. This meeting is considered an important step towards strengthening cooperation between Tamil Nadu and the Central Government.
Upon arrival in Delhi, Chief Minister Vijay will be received by representatives of the Tamil Nadu government at a formal ceremony. He will then be presented with a ceremonial guard of honor at the guest house. This is part of the traditional security and honor process.
According to reports, this guard of honor will be provided by the Tamil Nadu Police Special Force, currently deployed on security duty at the Tihar Jail complex in Delhi. This formal welcome is being viewed as a special honor by the state government.
Chief Minister Vijay’s first visit to Delhi is considered politically and administratively significant, as it is likely to garner direct support from the central government for the state’s development projects. Furthermore, this meeting could play a role in shaping the future direction of central-state relations.
