Weather changes in MP in early May, with several districts on alert for storms, rain, and hailstorms.

Madhya Pradesh: This year, May in Madhya Pradesh is beginning with unusual weather conditions, rather than the usual summer. While this time is typically marked by intense heat and heatwaves, this time many parts of the state are experiencing storms, rain, and hailstorms.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Bhopal, has issued a weather alert for 39 districts of the state. According to the department, the weather will continue to change in different parts of the state in the coming days, providing relief from the heat in many areas, but caution will be needed due to strong winds and rain.
The Meteorological Department has also issued a special forecast for Tuesday. According to this, temperatures are likely to be higher than normal in some districts, while others may experience strong winds and hot weather. The districts predicted to experience more heat include Indore, Dhar, Alirajpur, Burhanpur, Barwani, Khandwa, Khargone, Jhabua, Ujjain, Neemuch, Agar Malwa, Mandsaur, Shajapur, Dewas, Ratlam, and Harda.
The weather in these districts is expected to remain relatively dry and warm, leading to increased daytime temperatures. However, cloudy weather, rain, and thunderstorms are likely to persist in other parts of the state.
According to IMD Bhopal, this unusual weather change is due to the influence of various atmospheric pressure systems, which have altered the heat pattern in the state. Rain and hailstorms have persisted in many areas due to western disturbances and local weather conditions.
Weather experts say such changes could also impact the agricultural sector, especially in areas where crops are ready for harvest or are ready for harvest. There is also a possibility of crop damage from hailstorms and strong winds.
The administration has appealed to the public to follow the weather department’s alerts and stay in safe places during bad weather. Farmers have also been advised to take necessary steps to protect their crops.
This changing weather pattern in the state is likely to continue for the next few days. Therefore, people need to be prepared for not only the heat but also sudden storms and rain.
