Susan Coyle to Become Australia’s First Female Army Chief

Canberra: Australia is about to write a new history. For the first time, a woman will take over as the chief of the country’s army. Susan Coyle has been appointed as the army chief. The Australian government announced this decision. In the 125-year history of the Aussie… for the first time in the army’s history, a woman will continue in the highest position. She will take over in July. Susan Coyle is currently a lieutenant general. She will take over her new responsibilities in place of Lieutenant General Simon Stuart. She joined the army reserves in 1987. She has undertaken many missions in a command role. She has served in Afghanistan and West Asia. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced the new military chief. Defence Minister Richard Marles said it would be a historic occasion.
