Mayor Calls for Collaborative Efforts to Make Nalgonda a Smart City

Nalgonda Mayor Burri Chaitanya Srinivas Reddy has called for a united effort to transform Nalgonda city into a smart city, beyond politics. The first meeting of Nalgonda Corporation was held at the Municipal Council Hall on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, she said that all corporators should cooperate in this regard to make Nalgonda a leader in all fields in the coming period. She advised that any small problem should be solved by putting politics aside and bringing it to her attention. She said that more funds should be sanctioned with the cooperation of Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and the development path should be paved.
She said that the corporators should bring the problems of sanitation, drinking water and street lights to her attention from time to time and resolve them. Similarly, plans have been made to provide drinking water to all the people in Nalgonda town for 24 hours, and Krishna water will be provided for 24 hours by next year. She said that to avoid any power problem, five sub-stations have already been constructed, one of which has been completed and the rest will be completed soon and will function without power problems in the summer. She said that there are many problems in Prakasam Bazaar, which is why the street vendors there have been set up shops elsewhere as an alternative, and she will work to provide minimum facilities to all there.
Several corporators said that the sanitation problem on the streets is serious, people are suffering without street lights, and there is a high mosquito population. When the mayor brought it to his attention, he assured that he would look into all these and resolve them. The members requested that the underground drainage work in the 10th division be completed as soon as possible with quality.
