The contest between Dravidian and Tamil nationalism: Seeman’s speech

Tamil Nadu: Seeman, the chief coordinator of the Naam Tamil Party, said that the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections will be a two-way contest between Dravidism and Tamil nationalism.

Speaking on behalf of the Naam Tamil Party at a conference of change-seekers in Alampattiputhur, Trichy district, on Saturday, Seeman said:

Our politics is Tamil national politics. Our dream is change for the people, not for the government. Change for governance. Change for the basic political system.

We will build a new country free from hunger, famine, murder, robbery, slavery of women, caste, religion, alcohol, and drugs. Education, work according to education, salary according to education, life according to education. This is our dream.

Drama is a political movement that is growing and stands alone in the world. We received 1.1 percent of the vote in 2016 and 8.22 percent in 2021. We have consistently stood alone, losing every election. But, we stand alone, uniquely for the fifth time.

This conference is to bring back the mother Tamil language and awaken our nation. This gathering isn’t a gathering of fans; it’s a gathering of ambitions. This isn’t a gathering for screenwriting. It’s a gathering for ethnic awakening.

Awareness about ending freebies is the first step towards change. If the question arises about where they’ll get the money they’re losing because of freebies, awareness will emerge. A total debt of 10 lakh crore rupees. A family card costs 1 lakh rupees. If you start thinking about this, a politics of change will emerge.

DMK, AIADMK, Congress, BJP are all the same. Parties without principles. But the fundamental principle of Tamil nationalism is Tamil nationalism. Our politics isn’t the politics of racism or division. It’s the politics of ethnic rights and Tamil national sovereignty.

We must oust the Congress and DMK, who denied Cauvery water and drained Katchatheeva. The AIADMK will not be an alternative to the DMK. The Tamil Nadu elections are not a three-way contest. It’s a two-way contest. They are all on the side of Evra. We are on the side of Tamil nationalism.

Our government has only one language: Tamil. We will provide not free education, but the best education, equal healthcare for all, uninterrupted electricity, and clean drinking water for the unemployed. We will improve the quality of life without corruption and bribes. We will make agriculture a government job. I won’t let it go even for a thousand rupees. I will pass a law that will allow even ministers and government employees to get treatment in government hospitals.

You have been voting for Dravidian parties one after the other. Give us power. Change must come. Don’t vote based on caste, religion, color, or height. Vote based on your thinking, Seeman said.
