Intense scenes, controversial topics.. ‘The Kerala Story 2’ trailer is being trolled

It is known that ‘The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond’ is going to be released as a sequel to the controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’ in 2023. In the backdrop of the release of this film on February 27, the film unit has recently released the trailer.. This trailer is creating a huge stir on social media. It is clear from the trailer that this sequel is more controversial and made with very serious issues than the first part.

The trailer starts with a controversial dialogue that India will become an Islamic state in the next 25 years. This time, director Kamakhya Narayan Singh has not limited the story to Kerala alone. He has also shown aspects like forced religious conversions and love jihad that are said to be taking place in states like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Produced by producer Vipul Amritlal Shah, the film stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and Aishwarya Ojha in the lead roles, replacing Adah Sharma who previously starred in the film. The makers have included harsh scenes like torturing young women who refused to convert and force-feeding them beef in the trailer.

However, Kerala netizens are expressing strong opposition to this trailer. They are especially angry about the scene where beef is force-fed. Netizens are commenting that everyone eats beef willingly in Kerala, there is no need to force-feed anyone, and that Hindutva politics will not work in Kerala. They are criticizing that this is a ‘propaganda’ film aimed at just one section. On the other hand, others are defending the film as it boldly shows the bitter truths of society.
