Rajasthan Bhiwadi chemical factory fire: 7 dead, 10 feared trapped

Jaipur: A major fire broke out in a chemical factory. Seven workers died in the incident. It is suspected that about ten workers are trapped. Fire personnel and police reached the spot and took up rescue operations. (Chemical Factory Fire) The incident took place in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. A fire broke out in a private chemical factory in an industrial area at around 9.30 am on Monday. Within minutes, the entire factory was engulfed in flames. At that time, about 25 workers were working there.

Meanwhile, many workers who noticed the fire ran out of the chemical factory. On receiving this information, the fire brigade and police reached there. They worked for an hour and a half to put out the fire. Seven workers were found dead in the fire. The whereabouts of ten others are unknown. It is suspected that they were trapped inside the factory.

Meanwhile, the DSP and district officials said that an investigation is underway into the fire at the chemical factory. The district administration has ordered a magisterial inquiry to determine the cause of the fire and investigate the lapses in safety protocols.
