Vishwak Sen’s big day for ‘Funky’

Entertainment: Tomorrow is going to be an important day for Vishwak Sen, director Anudeep, and heroine Kayadu Lohar. Their new film, Funky, is hitting screens, and a lot depends on its outcome. Vishwak was heavily trolled for his role and film choices, especially for Laila. His last release, Gami, did decent business, but he’s still missing a major hit. Now, he desperately needs a hit to make a comeback. There’s no denying that he’s a solid talent, but his films need to be box office hits. Funky falls within his comfort zone, and this could be the film that turns things around for him. Kayadu Lohar also has high hopes for this film. His first Telugu film didn’t make much of an impact, and his presence in Telugu cinema has been largely ignored. Funky is a great opportunity for him to prove himself and capitalize on his craze. Director Anudeep also has something to prove. Although known for his fun-loving personality, he needs to show that he’s not a one-film wonder after Jathi Ratnalu. Nowadays, films can’t rely solely on one-liners and should abandon full-length comedies. If Anudeep once again proves his mettle with sharp one-liners in Funky, he could carve out a strong niche for himself despite the prevailing trends. The box office window for Funky is wide open.
