Cricket tournament concludes in Wadrafnagar
Balrampur. The cricket tournament held at the Gotiyapara Ground in Wadrafnagar concluded amid great enthusiasm and a solemn atmosphere. The final match was a thrilling encounter for the spectators. A total of 16 teams participated in the tournament, clearly demonstrating the enthusiasm of the youth in the region for the sport.
The final match of the tournament was played between Sai Baba Cricket Club, Wadrafnagar, and Jeevan Jyoti Cricket Club, Gotiyapara. Players from both teams performed brilliantly, and the match remained extremely exciting until the final moment. Sai Baba Cricket Club, displaying a superb performance, won by 7 runs, becoming the tournament’s winner. Jeevan Jyoti Cricket Club, also performing exceptionally well, secured the runner-up title. The match was so exciting and captivating that the spectators remained glued to their seats until the final over. The spectators cheered and cheered the players with applause at every four, six, and wicket.
Anil Kushwaha, who was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony, addressed the players, stating that sports not only improves physical health but also develops discipline, team spirit, and leadership skills. The winning team, Sai Baba Cricket Club, was honored with a cheque for ₹31,000. The runner-up, Jeevan Jyoti Cricket Club Gotiyapara, was awarded a cheque for ₹21,000. The joy of victory was clearly visible on the players’ faces during the prize distribution.
The tournament, held at the Gotiyapara Ground, provided a positive platform for the youth of the region. The participation of a total of 16 teams proved that even rural areas have a wealth of sporting talent. Chief Guest Anil Kushwaha stated that such events strengthen brotherhood and unity in society. He inspired the players to continue playing with the same hard work and dedication in the future. On this occasion, along with the chief guest Anil Kushwaha, Nandlal Singh, Shyamale, Amit Khakharam, Pratap Aayam were present. Basantlal Dhurve, Shivmangal Aayam, Rajendra Kushwaha also attended the program as special guests. Apart from this, a large number of local citizens and sports lovers (spectators) were also present, the organizing committee was also praised for the successful organization of the tournament. Thus, this cricket tournament of Wadrafnagar was successfully concluded with sportsmanship, excitement and enthusiasm, which provided new energy to the sports culture in the area.
