Protest in Suryapet demanding an end to the ruling party’s anarchy

Kodi Sirisha Shiva Yadav, an independent candidate for ward 25 in Suryapet district headquarters, staged a protest in front of the polling station in that ward on Wednesday, alleging that he was not given a councilor ticket after working hard for many years in the ruling Congress party, but was not allowed to enter the polling center if he contested independently, and was harassed and threatened by the police. Speaking on the occasion, they said that the ruling Congress party is harassing and threatening them because they are afraid that they are contesting on the football symbol as an independent candidate and winning. They expressed their concern that the Congress party candidate is roaming around in the polling station, while the police are chasing them and asking them to stay 100 meters away from the polling station.

He said that if you ask this question, there is no answer. He said that even those who support him are being threatened and terrorized. Is it a crime to contest as an independent candidate? He questioned whether the candidates have the right to go to the polling station. He expressed concern that the ruling party will run no matter what they do and can commit atrocities against anyone. Later, the police reached the polling station in large numbers and dispersed the protesting people and their supporters.
