The link between Sardar Gabbar Singh’s powerful title track and Pawan Kalyan’s musical taste is quite evident.

Entertainment: There’s an interesting and unexpected connection between the Telugu film Sardar Gabbar Singh and the Bollywood blockbuster Dhurandhar. This connection is related to music. Dhurandhar’s popular title track is actually a remix of an old Hindi track – and what surprised many was that the same original song had already been featured in Sardar Gabbar Singh almost a decade earlier.

Fans will remember that just before the climax, Sardar Gabbar Singh features a fun song medley sequence where Pawan Kalyan dances with a group of goons to a mix of retro songs in different languages. One of those Hindi songs later became the basis for the Dhurandhar title track remix. After Dhurandhar’s release in Hindi, the remixed song went viral once again. This led Telugu audiences to share clips of the original version from Sardar Gabbar Singh on social media, bringing the film back into the spotlight. Because of this musical connection, a film that was once considered a box-office flop unexpectedly started trending online again.

This renewed buzz also sparked conversations about Pawan Kalyan’s musical taste. From the beginning of his career, the actor has shown a fondness for retro tracks, remixes, and creatively incorporating Hindi songs into his films. Members of the Sardar Gabbar Singh team had previously revealed that the idea for the song medley came directly from Pawan Kalyan himself. Ironically, while Sardar Gabbar Singh is now being appreciated for this musical moment, the film failed to live up to expectations upon its release. Despite a strong opening day, the clichéd police story didn’t resonate even with die-hard fans and quickly flopped at the box office.

This was a stark contrast to his previous police drama, Gabbar Singh, which was a massive blockbuster and marked Pawan Kalyan’s triumphant return to Tollywood a decade earlier.
