Chief Minister salutes former President Dr. Zakir Hussain on his death anniversary

Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has paid homage to freedom fighter, educationist and former President of India Dr. Zakir Hussain on his death anniversary on May 3. Recalling the personality and work of Dr. Zakir Hussain, the Chief Minister said that Dr. Hussain was a very disciplined person. He played an important role in the Indian freedom struggle. After independence, he adorned the post of Governor, Vice President and President of Bihar. He became the first Muslim President of India. He emphasized on educational reform and was actively associated with many movements. Dr. Hussain was a strong supporter of modern education in India. He did important work for the promotion of education.
