Sharad Pawars Big Remark On Sunetra Pawar Getting Deputy CM Post

Mumbai: It is learnt that Sunetra Pawar, wife of Maharashtra Deputy CM and NCP chief Ajit Pawar, who died in a plane crash, will be sworn in as Deputy CM on Saturday evening. Ajit Pawar’s father, NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar, reacted to this. He said that he was not aware of the matter. He replied to a media query that no one had approached him on this issue. ‘I have no information about it. Her party will have taken the decision. According to what I saw in the newspaper today, there are some names like Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare. They took the initiative to take some decisions. There was no discussion with me on this. I have no information about this. I do not even know whether this is actually happening or not,’ he said.

Meanwhile, Sharad Pawar clarified that the NCP merger process has stalled. “Now we want to fulfill his wish. Ajit Pawar, Shashikant Shinde and Jayant Patil have started discussions on the merger of these two factions. The date of the merger has also been fixed. It was supposed to happen on February 12. Unfortunately, Ajit left us before that,” he said.

On the other hand, the SPP split into two in July 2023. More than 40 of the party’s 54 MLAs joined the BJP-led Mahayuti government led by Ajit Pawar. After this split, Sharad Pawar renamed his faction as the Nationalist Congress Party-Sharad Chandra Pawar.
