BJP should be defeated in municipal elections: Dalit leaders

Dr. Puli Jaipal and Malyala Govardhan called on SCs to teach the BJP a lesson in the Municipal Corporation elections. Demanding the withdrawal of the petition filed by the BJP in the High Court on SC divisions, the SC United Action Committee took out a rally from the Press Club in Nizamabad to NTR Square and burnt an effigy of the BJP at NTR Square. Later, they spoke at a media conference at the Press Club. They criticized the stay petition filed by BJP District General Secretary Pothankar Lakshminarayana in the High Court challenging the reservations only in SC divisions 39, 40 and 44 under the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation, and criticized the BJP’s attitude towards SCs for another change. Those who were supposed to petition for reservations in 60 divisions were outraged that SCs were being made political scapegoats by focusing only on SC divisions for their political gain.
He warned that BJP will be taught a lesson if it comes to the SCs. He called for working together to defeat BJP. He warned that more united movements will be organized in the coming time to protest against BJP’s stance. Bangaru Sailu, Sheikh Hussain, TMRPS district president Mallani Shiva, women’s leaders Bantu Jyoti, Mala Mahanadu leaders Vinay, Dandu Chandrasekhar, Nilgiri Raju, Chandu, Chandrakant, Rajaiah, Ashok Bhagyavan, Dayanand, Bhim Army president Ajay, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind leader Hussain, and others participated in this program.
