People of Tamil Nadu will not like a coalition government: Thambidurai

Tamil Nadu: AIADMK Propaganda Secretary M. Thambidurai MP said that the people of Tamil Nadu will not accept the coalition government.

On Monday night, a public meeting was held in front of Anna’s statue in Ramanagara, Hosur, Krishnagiri district, to mark former Chief Minister MGR’s 109th birthday. Krishnagiri West District Secretary and former Minister Balakrishna Reddy presided over the meeting. Municipal Secretary S. Narayanan, former MLA Panneerselvam, C.V. Rajendran, Area Secretary Raju, and others were present.

Speaking at the public meeting, M. Thambidurai MP said:

I had said in the Lok Sabha on behalf of the AIADMK that an airport should be built in Hosur. Agricultural land should not be acquired for this purpose. Hosur already has a large private airport. It could be renovated and made into an international airport.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has been calling the AIADMK a slave party. If the AIADMK were a slave party, how could it have fought the last Lok Sabha elections alone? The AIADMK will contest the upcoming assembly elections in alliance. But the AIADMK will form the government alone. The people of Tamil Nadu never wanted a coalition government; they will never want it again.

The AIADMK protested in the Lok Sabha the removal of Mahatma Gandhi’s name from the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. They said the AIADMK’s policy is federalism with autonomy in the state.

Former AIADMK city council president P.M. Nanjundaswamy, city Jagadeesh, and district deputy secretary Madan were among those who attended the public meeting.
